Gian Jyoti Global School observes Martyrs' Day
Mohali, Feb. 4 -- Gian Jyoti Global School, Phase 2, observed Martyrs' Day to mark Mahatma Gandhi's 77th death anniversary. The event was held with reverence, honouring the values of truth, non-violence, and patriotism that Gandhi stood for. Students from various Classes paid tributes by offering flowers to his portrait, expressing their gratitude. A two-minute silence was observed in martyrs' memory who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Students and teachers delivered speeches, sang patriotic songs, and participated in skits, showcasing Gandhi's life and contributions to India's freedom struggle. Principal-director Ranjit Bedi emphasised Gandhian principles' significance in today's world. "His teachings of peace and unity continue to inspire generations. It is our responsibility to follow his path and contribute towards a harmonious society," she said. The event concluded with the students pledging to uphold the value of honesty in their daily lives.
