Mohali, Dec. 4 -- GD Goenka Public School celebrated its very first Annual Day with great enthusiasm and splendour, marked by inspiring addresses, well-curated presentations, and heartfelt acknowledgements. The programme began by invoking the divine blessings of Lord Ganesha, as students performed a graceful and soulful Ganesh Vandana, which set a pious and uplifting tone for the evening. This year's event was centred around the inspiring theme, "Canvas of Dreams: Where Art Comes Alive." The programme beautifully showcased how imagination, expression and creativity merge to form a vibrant world of ideas. Students brought the works and philosophies of renowned artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Frida Kahlo, Wassily Kandinsky, Jamini Roy, Amrita Sher-Gil, and Sobha Singh to life through dance, drama, music, and visual storytelling. Each performance depicted how art has the power to ignite dreams, inspire thought and shape perception. Through these artistic representations, students not only celebrated cultural heritage but also gained a deeper understanding of global perspectives, enabling them to appreciate diversity and develop a richer sense of culture and globalisation. The event was graced by the chief guest, justice Aman Chaudhary, whose distinguished presence elevated the occasion. His Lordship addressed the audience with insightful words on education, discipline and the importance of nurturing young minds with integrity and compassion. His message left a deep impression on the students, staff, and parents alike....
