Chandigarh, Oct. 25 -- Haryana government on Friday suspended five officials of two mandis and a market committee who were allegedly involved in irregularities during the ongoing procurement of millet and paddy, an official spokesperson said. The action was taken after discrepancies were found between the e-procurement portal and the H-register of the market committee in the new grain market, Kanina and grain market, Kosli, along with irregularities in the gate pass issuance process. The spokesperson said that as per the orders issued by the chief administrator, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board secretary-cum-EO of new grain market, Kanina, Manoj Parashar and grain market, Kosli, secretary-cum-EO Narender Kumar have been suspended with immediate effect. In the case pertaining to issuing fake gate passes in market committee Karnal, three officials identified as Hardeep and Ashwani (mandi supervisors) and Satbir (auction recorder) have been suspended with immediate effect....
