India, Jan. 16 -- Actor Priya Bapat says fitness transformations are a "long-term effort that eventually pays off" as she garners attention for her recent physical change. Currently working on a Marathi web-series, she says, "For this role I needed to be as I have been, but for the next, I will surely reap the benefits of my transformed self. I want to just fit the character well." Crediting her decade-long gym discipline to husband-actor Umesh Kamat, Priya adds, "I have been into hard-core gymming for the last 10 years." She adds, "Flaunting abs was never on my mind," but admits it helped her stay motivated, stressing that body transformation "does take time and there are no shortcuts." The actor says she has gained and lost up to 10 kilos for past projects, but this transformation was different as it required intense core training. For Priya, looking fit on screen became a deeper commitment to her craft. The 39-year-old shares that she wanted to look the best and happiest version of herself, adding that acting goes beyond delivering lines to embracing challenges, transforming physically, and staying true to the character....
