Chandigarh, June 5 -- The grand finale of the 10-day Bharatanatyam workshop was held at Sacred Heart School. More than 70 young girls, aged 3 to 17, participated in this workshop and won the hearts of the audience with their performances. The workshop was conducted by dance gurus Rahul and Nandini Gupta and their dedicated team, with the support and encouragement of the school's principal, Sister Venita Joseph. The chief guest for the occasion was the Kuchipudi dancer Janki Anjani, who expressed her joy and appreciation upon witnessing the students' dedication and talent. She commended all the participants and mentors for their hard work. The students presented traditional Bharatanatyam compositions such as Pushpanjali, Alaripu, and Varnam, displaying mastery in expressions, hand gestures (mudras), and rhythm. The audience responded with a standing ovation, honouring both the young dancers and their mentors.
