The visit comes as part of the global Trophy Tour ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, reigniting excitement for the sport across India.
The tour commenced with a FIFA Charter landing, followed by the official unveiling of the trophy at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Delhi. The event was attended by Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr Mansukh Mandaviya; former Brazilian World Cup-winning player and FIFA legend Gilberto Da Silva; sports historian and writer Boria Majumdar; and leadership from Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia, including Sanket Ray, President, Greishma Singh, Vice President-Marketing, and Devyani Rana, Vice President-Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability.
Crafted in 18-carat solid gold and weighing 6.175 kg, the original trophy has symbolised footballing excellence since 1974.
Staying true to its community-first approach, Coca-Cola India has integrated its #MaidaanSaaf initiative into the Trophy Tour, supporting responsible waste collection and segregation at public events.
