Mohali, Feb. 1 -- A 36-year-old woman died by suicide at her residence in Kharar, with her family alleging that sustained physical abuse and mental harassment by her husband and in-laws drove her to take the extreme step. Police said the woman had been facing frequent disputes at her matrimonial home. On Friday around 11 am, the victim's younger sister received a call stating that another argument had erupted betweenthe woman and her father-in-law. Shortly thereafter, the woman spoke to her brother, expressing exhaustion over daily conflicts.
