Sangrur, Dec. 26 -- Punjab Youth Congress' general secretary Shubham Sharma on Thursday accused former Dhuri MLA Dalvir Singh Goldy of working against the party. Rubbishing the charge, Goldy said such a statement by Sharma was aimed only at hogging the limelight. After the zila parishad and block samiti elections, Goldy had stated that the Congress should focus on the internal rifts and work on addressing these. Shubham Sharma said, "The party observer had distributed tickets for the zila parishad and block samiti elections, but Goldy did not let workers contest. In some seats, AAP candidates won unopposed." Goldy denied the allegations. "My statement didn't target anyone. No one can defeat the Congress, but internal rifts can," he said.
