Nabha, Feb. 17 -- Poverty, illiteracy and now a prolonged disease have made every day a struggle for Geeta Rani, a resident of Thuhi village in Nabha.

'Unable to deal with the disease and search for cure', her husband abandoned her. And the responsibility of two minor sons fell on her. Even the administration is unable to help her as she does not fall in any category of beneficiaries of welfare schemes.

She had gone to West Bengal in her childhood after which, she would fall ill frequently. But the disease remained untraceable until her second delivery.
