Haridwar, May 6 -- A 70-year-old woman has been mauled to death by a pack of street dogs while she was working in an agricultural field in Roorkee, police said on Monday. "The incident took place on Sunday in Padli Gujjar village when three women were attacked by street dogs. While two women, receiving minor injuries, managed to flee, Bano suffered severe injuries. Due to excessive bleeding she died on the spot. Upon hearing the noise, a guard rushed to the spot and later informed the police about the incident," said Amarjeet Singh, station in-charge at Ganga Nagar police station. This incident is the latest in a string of attacks by street dogs in the region. On April 8, a 25-year-old man was injured in a similar attack in Krishna Nagar colony of Roorkee. htc...
