Chandigarh, Nov. 3 -- Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary Model School, Sector 27-A, celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India and the architect of National Unity. The celebrations began with a special morning assembly that highlighted the ideals of unity, integrity, and brotherhood. The event was attended by guests - the deputy superintendent of police (DSP), the station house officer (SHO), and the president of the Residents' Welfare Association - who were accorded a warm welcome by the principal Seema Biji. The programme commenced with a soulful prayer invoking peace and unity, followed by a thought for the day and a brief introduction about the significance of Ekta Diwas. The school premises were filled with a spirit of nationalism as students presented inspiring speeches, poems, and thoughts on the life and values of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. To further mark the occasion, poster-making and poetry recitation competitions were organised, where students creatively expressed their ideas on the themes of national integration, patriotism, and unity in diversity. The deputy DSP Dilbag Singh and the SHO Gyan Singhaddressed the students and highlighted the relevance of Sardar Patel's vision in today's times. They emphasised that just as Sardar Patel united the nation after independence, it is now the duty of every young citizen to stay united.
