New Delhi, April 25 -- The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday raided eight locations linked to the promoter of FIIT JEE coaching centres and others, agency officials said, adding that a case under prevention of money laundering act (PMLA) has been filed to probe irregularities. Among those searched by the financial crimes probe agency in Delhi, Noida and Gurugram include one of the promoters - DK Goel - of the coaching. The raids come after the Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing registered FIR based on complaints from parents. An ED official said they are probing the diversion of funds taken from coaching centres towards personal gains or other entities. While former faculties allege that they did not receive their salaries for months, parents alleged that they had made advance payments for the year....
