ormer cricketer Dwayne Bravo found himself at the centre of an on-mic gaffe during a pre-season press conference ahead of the Indian Premier League 2026 on Friday. The moment came after a remark about having "two chicks at home" was picked up by live microphones.
The incident occurred as Bravo, who is the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowling coach and mentor, arrived to address the media, alongside head coach Abhishek Nayar, batting coach Shane Watson, and captain Ajinkya Rahane. Mid-conversation with his fellow coaches, Bravo said to Watson, while gesturing towards Nayar: "When these guys called me, I had two chicks at my home."
Rahane immediately cautioned him, saying, "Mics are on. Be careful about what you are talking about."
Realising the slip, Bravo reacted with an audible "shit", appearing visibly embarrassed, as the rest of the panel turned cautious.
The clip soon went viral, drawing criticism from social media users over Bravo's choice of words. One user wrote, "This is disappointing if true. Professional environments demand respect. Players represent more than just themselves. Hope there's accountability."
