Panchkula, May 4 -- The anti-narcotics cell of the Panchkula police apprehended two men in Sector 19, Industrial Area, Phase-1, on Friday and recovered around 7.2 kg charas from their possession. The accused, Vishal Dhiman, 29, from Hamirpur district, Himachal Pradesh, and Abhishek Thakur, 24, from Kangra district, HP, were residing as tenants in Baltana, Mohali. Acting on a tip-off, police apprehended the two near the green belt, where they were planning to supply the contraband to a customer. An inspection of their car resulted in the recovery of charas. The accused were unable to provide any documentation for possessing the drug. A case against the accused has been registered under the NDPS Act.
