DRV DAV Centenary Public School celebrates Raksha Bandhan festival
Phillaur, Aug. 13 -- DRV DAV Centenary Public School celebrated Raksha Bandhan with immense love, respect, and a spirit of gratitude on the school campus. The celebration was not just limited to the traditional brother-sister bond but extended to those who selflessly protect, serve, and support society.
The event began with a heartwarming gesture as the students tied rakhis to principal Yogesh Gambhir, expressing their gratitude and seeking his blessings. In a touching display of respect, students also tied rakhis to the Group D employees of the school - acknowledging their hard work and constant support that often goes unnoticed.
Highlighting the importance of environmental protection, students tied rakhis to trees as a symbolic gesture of thankfulness for providing oxygen and shelter, reminding everyone of our duty to protect Mother Nature.
The creativity and patriotism of Class 10 students shone brightly as they handcrafted special rakhis dedicated to soldiers, police personnel, doctors, and Mother India - expressing heartfelt gratitude towards these real-life heroes who ensure the nation's safety and well-being. Students from Classes Nursery to 2 and 6 to 9 actively participated in the celebration by preparing greeting cards and handmade rakhis.
A special moment of spiritual significance was marked by the visit of the Brahmakumaris from Ishwariya Vishwavidyalya, who tied rakhis to the principal and staff members, spreading the message of universal brotherhood and peace. In a noble outreach activity, students visited an orphanage, where boys got rakhis tied by girls and presented them with gifts, spreading smiles and making the day memorable for everyone.
Additionally, students tied rakhis to army personnel, conveying immense respect and appreciation for their dedication and sacrifice in guarding our borders. The entire celebration beautifully reflected the values of gratitude, unity, love, and respect, making Raksha Bandhan not just a ritual, but a celebration of humanity....
