Ferozepur, April 14 -- As much as 7-kg heroin and a drone were found in Kohala village near the Pakistan border in Ferozepur on Monday, officials said. Senior superintendent of police Bhupinder Singh Sidhu said a police team was on routine patrol when Kohala village numberdar Gurjan Singh alerted it about a six-rotor drone that had fallen in his fields. Cops seized the drone with a marking - CE ROHS Made in China 26.02.002 No. 000003. According to the police, the drone was found carrying 6.93-kg heroin. An FIR has been registered against unidentified persons under relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and also the Aircraft Act, officials said, adding that further investigation is underway to trace those involved in the racket.
