Panchkula, July 8 -- Doon Public School, Sector-21, conducted an engaging training session on Model United Nations (MUN) for students of Classes 7 to 12. The session aimed to familiarise students with the structure and procedures of MUN conferences and to enhance their critical thinking, public speaking, and diplomacy skills. The event began with a warm welcome to the distinguished speakers, Kanish Garg and Vaanya, who have extensive experience in mentoring students for MUN platforms. They introduced the concept of the United Nations and explained how MUN simulations help young delegates understand global issues, practice negotiation, and develop leadership. Students were briefed on key aspects such as drafting resolutions, role-playing as country representatives, and following formal debate protocols. Through interactive activities, they learned how to present arguments, collaborate with others, and think on their feet. The session was a huge success, with enthusiastic participation from the students who expressed keen interest in joining the upcoming MUNs.
