India, Jan. 28 -- French EDM artiste William Grigahcine, popularly known as DJ Snake, has called off his Sunburn Arena tour in India, which was slated for a six-city run in February. The cancellation was announced on Monday after the artiste revealed he has been dealing with a health issue and has been advised to undergo surgery early next month. Sharing the update with fans on social media, DJ Snake wrote, "Hey guys, I've been battling a health issue for a while, and it's finally caught up with me. After talking with my doctors, I need to have surgery in early February. It's something I can't push or delay anymore, and I'll need a month to fully rest and recover after that (sic)." Calling the decision "incredibly hard," the 39-year-old added that the surgery would require him to cancel all upcoming performances, including the India tour: "This means cancelling all my shows, including the India tour, and that decision has been incredibly hard. But I need to get back to 100% and this is the only way. Thank you for your love & understanding. I'll be back soon, stronger than before." The Sunburn Arena tour was set to mark DJ Snake's third visit to India. Originally scheduled to kick off in Kolkata in September last year and wrap up in Delhi-NCR in October, the tour was later postponed due to logistical reasons and was rescheduled for February 6-15.
