Amritsar, June 3 -- Excelsum High Senior Secondary School, Loharka Road, took a significant step to strengthen its disaster management preparedness. The school recognises the importance of equipping young minds not only with academic knowledge but also with life-saving skills to respond effectively in emergency situations. Keeping this as priority, a day long workshop on disaster management under CBSE's capacity building programme was organised in the school on 31 May, under the guidance of Gurmeet Kaur Gill, principal of Dashmesh Nursery School, Mukerian, Hoshiarpur and Gurpreet Kaur Oberoi, principal of Amritsar Public School, Focal Point, Sarhali Road, Amritsar, focusing on preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation.
