India, Sept. 27 -- Almost a decade after Jack Gleeson disappeared from the public eye, the Game of Thrones star is finally opening up about his acting hiatus. Following his four-season stint as the villainous Joffrey Baratheon, the actor stepped away from major productions, appearing only in one small-budget indie film and a few episodes of TV shows. As he returns as part of the series House of Guinness, the 33-year-old has clarified the rumours that his break was influenced by the hate he received while playing Joffery. "It wasn't because I received any sort of abuse from anybody, thankfully. Sadly, people confuse characters with the actor. But after Game of Thrones I continued acting, just in a theatre company that I set up with some friends in Dublin (Ireland)," Jack said. The Irish actor added, "But then I started to miss screen acting - it was just where I was at that time." He also pointed out that he'd been acting since he was eight years old: "I just stopped enjoying it as much as I used to. There was the prospect of acting for a living; it was always something I did for recreation with my friends" Speaking to Hoot, Jack went on to admit, "When you make a living from something, that changes your relationship with it. It's not like I hate it, it's just not what I want to do."htc...
