Delivery agent among 3 held for staging theft
New Delhi, Nov. 7 -- A 24-year-old delivery executive and three of his friends have been arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly staging a robbery in a bid to cheat a store owner in Karol Bagh, police said on Thursday. They stole 25 phones, including iPhones and One Plus phones.
The Delhi Police said the accused were arrested within 48 hours. According to police, on Tuesday, a PCR call was received from a man named Ashish Kumar who said he works as a delivery executive for a supplier/retailer in Vikas Marg was robbed of 25 mobile phones being taken to a store in Karol Bagh by two men near the Vikas Marg flyover. Police said a case was lodged and Kumar pretended that he had suffered injuries on his head.
Police said the team conducted investigations and Kumar was detained on Wednesday.
The team said based on his interrogation, three of his friends Shamim, Aman and Tanveer were arrested. HTC...
