Delhi Public School marks 'World Book Day' honouring Shakespeare's legacy
Chandigarh, May 20 -- The World Book Day was celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of the greatest writer in the English language William Shakespeare at Delhi Public School. The school fondly remembered the literary legacy of the great writer and his marvellous works in the special weeklong activities conducted in their library periods.
The young Class 3 readers designed artistic bookmark of their favourite books. Class 4 students left no stone unturned in impressing everyone by making a lively stick puppets of their favourite book characters.
The face masks designed by Class 5 of their reading books stirred the enthusiasm among the students. The whole library turned into a live show of wonderful characters of English literature. The enthusiastic readers of Classes 6 and 7 exhibited their artistic skills in making book jackets of their most read books.
The students of Class 8 outshone their fellow readers in the engaging activity of 'Book in a Box'. In the league of impressing their fellow friends, the students of Classes 9 and 10 designed beautiful posters with a message of read more books and unravel the world of language.
The whole school was engaged in the marvellous atmosphere of literature gifted by the legendary poet and playwright Shakespeare.
The event gave an inspiring message of making books as your best friends. Such activities provides an opportunity to explore the history of literature and appreciate the contributions of great writers.
