Delhi Public School celebrates 'Science Week' with enthusiasm
Mohali, Dec. 1 -- Delhi Public School celebrated Science Week 2025, offering students a rich blend of hands-on experiments, creative learning experiences, and interactive scientific demonstrations. The week-long celebration aimed at nurturing scientific curiosity, strengthening conceptual understanding, and encouraging learners to explore science beyond the classroom. Activities were carefully designed for Classes 3 to 8, allowing students to witness scientific concepts unfold through real-life applications.
Throughout the week, students were engaged in a variety of age-appropriate experiments. Class 3 explored soluble and insoluble substances, while Class 4 investigated the principles of floating and sinking through simple objects.
Class 5 worked with indicators to understand the nature of acids and bases in the Chemistry Lab, Class 6 created leaf impression art to learn about venation, while Class 7 examined physical and chemical changes through everyday materials and reactions, and Class 8 experienced the world of microscopy by preparing and observing cheek cell slides.
A major highlight of the celebration was the Mobile Science Exhibition Bus from Pushpa Gujral Science City, which set up an immersive scientific environment on the school campus. Fun assessments such as BMI calculation, colour-blindness testing, and nutrition-based plate-making added further excitement.
