Panchkula, March 13 -- DC Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 7, students displaying their creativity and originality at the 37th annual Basant Utsav held in Town Park. They excelled in all competitions organised by the Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority. Despite having the pressure of final exams, they exhibited ingenuity and potential and grabbed positions. In rangoli making, the team of Kulsum, Aasvi, Tanvi and Inayat in the juniors' category bagged 1st position, whereas Priya, Shivani, Aanchal and Dishita of senior category won the 2nd position. Saurav and Aditya got 1st position in environmental quiz in senior group, and Manvik and Arnav Awasthi got 3rd position in junior category. Ruchi and Nayra secured 1st position in both categories in tattoo making. In face painting, Mantript and Samiksha bagged 1st and 2nd positions in both categories, respectively. In pot painting, Harman, Aarohi and Ambieka bagged 1st and 2nd positions, respectively. Jugraj got 2nd position in junior category of "Hasya kavita." Further, in mehndi competition, Tamanna and Sarika got 1st and 2nd positions in both categories, respectively. Pavika and Aasvi bagged 3rd position in both categories in fancy dress. The team of Khanak and Mannat in senior category bagged 1st position in duet dance. Dhanistha Joshi and Peehu won 1st and 2nd positions in junior and senior categories of solo singing. Folk dance girls bagged 1st position in senior category.
