Panchkula, April 30 -- DC Model Senior Secondary School held its first blood donation camp of the session 2025-26. The school saw an inspiring turnout of parents, faculty, and volunteers, all stepping up to donate blood. The event received support from a medical team from PGI, ensuring a smooth process for the donors. Known for its commitment to social causes, the DCM Group of Schools led the charge once again. The school's managing director, Bharat Bhushan Gupta, strongly advocated for the cause, highlighting that a single unit of donated blood has the power to save up to three lives. His dedication to informing everyone about the deep impact of blood donation on society resonated with all attendees. The blood donation camp began promptly at 9am, marked by a moment of pride as Manisha and Dhruv Sharma, both dedicated volunteers, became the first donors, setting an example for everyone present. Adding to the spirit of generosity, Naresh, an extraordinary donor, stood out by making his 82nd blood donation, inspiring all with his unwavering commitment to saving lives. Among the school staff, Anubhav, Gauri and Vikhyat Verma volunteered himself and continued his contribution. Former students also joined in, inspired to elevate the school's initiative to greater heights. Approximately 265 people registered for the camp, with 200 successfully donating after undergoing comprehensive health check-ups. To acknowledge their selfless service, donors received refreshments, certificates, and souvenirs. The sense of pride among everyone involved was palpable, knowing they had contributed to a cause larger than themselves.
