DC Model School holds Labour Day festivities
Panchkula, May 6 -- To mark respect and regard to the industrious team of workers of DC Model School, Labour Day was celebrated in the school.
The celebration aimed to sensitise the students about the dignity of labour and to regard the fourth class employees whose pivotal role in the smooth day to day working of the school is very significant.
A special assembly was organised by the Pre- Primary classes where students honoured them by presenting thanksgiving cards and bouquets. The students expressed their gratitude through poem recitation and speeches.
A PPT was presented to highlight the history and the importance of the day. The senior students were shown motivational videos based on the dignity of labour and were also sensitised to value and respect all forms of works.
The Class 8 students seized the chance to stage a street play highlighting the significance of respecting all forms of work, concluding with expression of gratitude towards every fourth- class employee for their assistance.
Overwhelmed with students' love for them, the maids also reciprocated love and thanks to them and asked the students to help their parents in keeping their house and surroundings neat and clean.
To add fun and frolic to their special day, various games were organised. It was a delight to see them enjoying every moment.
The director of the school Usha Gupta in her speech expressed the importance of their assistance to the society and urged the students to learn to respect and appreciate their efforts. The principal Deepika Bhardwaj took this opportunity to thank the class four employees and admired their efforts saying that though they remain invisible, their work is really commendable.
The day concluded with the serving of refreshing fruits followed by cool Amul lassi to all the helpers of the school.
The students learnt to respect and appreciate the efforts of all forms of labour and their vital assistance to the society in our everyday lives....
