Chandigarh, Jan. 24 -- A day after a 37-year-old man was found bludgeoned to death in a park near Delhi Public School, Sector 40C, police have arrested an Uttar Pradesh native for the crime. The accused has been identified as Vinod, who works at the Manimajra market. In a chilling confession to the police, the accused allegedly revealed that the victim, Vivek alias Shanky, was asleep on a bench in the park when he struck him on the head with a large tile. He added that the attack was in retaliation to an earlier assault, allegedly by the victim, which had fractured his ankle and caused him mobility issues. The victim's mother, Veena Kumari, a resident of Bad Majra village in Mohali, had earlier told the police that her son was a habitual alcohol consumer....
