Panchkula, July 21 -- The Haryana Cluster Chess Tournament, held under the aegis of DAV College managing committee, New Delhi, was organised at DAV Public School, Sector-8. The event brought together talented teams from various DAV institutions across the state. The tournament began on a spirited note, with a warm welcome extended to all participants by principal Ritu Dilbagi, who emphasised the importance of strategic thinking and discipline in such mind games. The event was conducted in a highly disciplined and well-coordinated manner, under the supervision of Ramesh Pandita and Dinesh Sood, the sports teachers. The event reflected the true spirit of sportsmanship and the values upheld by DAV institutions. The Under-14 boys team secured the silver medal. The Under-17 girls team also bagged the silver medal. The Under-17 Boys Team earned second position, winning yet another silver medal for the host school. Principal Ritu Dilbagi congratulated all the winning teams and appreciated their spirit, dedication, and enthusiasm.
