DAV Model School holds fest
Chandigarh, May 2 -- "The Ripples - 09", an inter-school fest, was held at DAV Model School, Sector 15.
It aimed to impact the holistic development of students by chiseling life and communication skills, as well as their creative and critical potentialities.
This year, the event was organised to commemorate the theme "Janbhagidari Se Jankalyan" in joint collaboration with parents (Sahbhagita), who were chosen as judges for various events. As many as 800 students from 50 schools of tricity participated.
There were 10 events, including poster-making, screen master, scientific temperament, poetry recitation, star chef, quiz, fancy dress, book wizard, folk dance, and folk song.
Guests, including the vice-chairman of the school, principal RC Jeewan, manager, principal Madhu Bahl, principal S Marriya, Vinod Kapur, LMC member of the school, and principal of the school, Anuja Sharma, congratulated the participants and motivated them to excel in holistic development.
The winners were awarded certificates and trophies for their commendable performances.
The overall trophy was awarded to St Annes Convent School, Sector 32.
