Ludhiana, Dec. 24 -- Darshan Academy, Ludhiana organised a Two-Day Competency-Based Assessment Workshop (Secondary Level - English) on December 19-20 with the objective of strengthening teachers' understanding of assessment practices aligned with the CBSE framework. The workshop was led by eminent resource persons Harmeet Kaur Wariach, principal, Nankana Sahib Public School, Ludhiana, and Dr Neeru Arora, Principal, Gobindgarh Public School, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. Their insightful deliberations and rich expertise added immense value to the sessions. The workshop focused on question-based group activities, MCQ construction with distinctive and plausible distractors, Bloom's Taxonomy domains and levels, recap quizzes, and the importance of rubrics in ensuring fair and transparent evaluation. Teachers actively participated in collaborative tasks, analysed question patterns, and designed competency-based assessment items aimed at evaluating higher-order thinking skills.
