Cyber session at DC Montessori
Chandigarh, Sept. 1 -- A special awareness session on "Cyber Security" and "Anti-Drug Awareness" was conducted in DC Montessori Sr Sec (Smart) School by the Chandigarh Police for the students of Classes 7 and 8. The objective of the programme was to safeguard students from the growing challenges of cyber threats and drug abuse.
During the interactive session, the officials sensitised students about the safe use of the internet, social media platforms, and digital gadgets. They explained how cyber threats such as online fraud, phishing, identity theft, and cyberbullying can be prevented by adopting simple practices like using strong passwords, avoiding suspicious links, and reporting any misuse immediately.
The list of important helpline numbers was also shared with the students. The second part of the session focused on the harmful effects of drugs. The police officers highlighted how drug addiction not only damages health but also affects family and social life. Students were motivated to say "No to Drugs" and were guided on how to resist peer pressure and seek help if needed. The session was followed by a doubt-resolving interaction, where students asked questions and received valuable guidance from the officials....
