Kolkata, Jan. 6 -- Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami, a resident of Jadavpur in Kolkata, was called for hearing on January 5 as a part of the ongoing SIR in West Bengal, people aware of the developments said. Shami, who was supposed to appear before the poll panel officials at the Katjunagar Swarnamayee Vidyapeeth High School in Kolkata's ward number 93, however, could not attend the hearing as he was not in the city. He has already informed the poll panel and is likely to be called for hearing on another date. "Mohammed Shami, and a few others, were called for hearing on Monday.
