Chandigarh, Dec. 4 -- Litigants in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh would now be able to access court orders in their cases of restricted category through an OTP now. The Punjab and Haryana high court administration on Wednesday informed the bench of chief justice Sheel Nagu and justice Sanjiv Berry that a pilot project was done at the courts of Chandigarh, Sirsa and Moga and after successful completion of the same, all courts have been asked to implement it. Restricted category cases are those where the identity of the litigant has to be protected. These include matters relating to crimes against women and children, domestic violence and Juvenile Justice Act matters etc. The information was given during resumed hearing of a public interest litigation by advocate Nikhil Thamman, who had demanded immediate implementation of online/OTP-based access to soft copies of orders and judgments in all restricted-category cases.
