Chandigarh, Feb. 12 -- The Chandigarh district court has granted bail to Rajat Kapoor, the main accused in the July 2013 Audi-Tavera accident case, in which three persons had died.

Kapoor had been arrested on December 21, 2017, and Section 304 (2) was added in the FIR against him. He was granted bail in a few days on the condition that it's up to the trial court to frame charges against him under Section 304 or not. Rajat Kapoor had filed a revision petition in the high court against the order under which Section 304(2) (If act is done with knowledge that it is likely to cause death, but without any intention to cause death, etc.) of the Indian Penal Code was added by court in the FIR.
