Corbett bans use of mobiles during safaris
Haldwani, Jan. 11 -- The Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR) has decided to completely ban the use of mobile phones during jungle safaris across all its tourism zones, forest officials said.
The move, aimed at reducing human interference and enhancing wildlife safety, will apply to all tourists as well as forest staff, nature guides and jeep drivers entering the reserve.
According to officials, the decision follows a recent Supreme Court order directing strict restrictions on usage of mobile phones inside core habitats and tourism areas of tiger reserves.htc...
