Cops: Six pistols recovered from 3 gangster aides
	
		
				Jalandhar, Oct. 29 -- The Jalandhar commissionerate police on Tuesday recovered six more pistols from the possession of three aides of jailed gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, officials said.
The arrested accused, identified as Mankaran Deol, Jaiveer Singh, and Simranjit Singh, are all residents of Jalandhar, police added. They were arrested on October 22 after a brief shootout, and the cops had seized two .32-bore pistols from their possession.
Commissioner of police (CP) Dhanpreet Kaur said the arrests came after investigating the backwards and forward linkages of the accused.
"In continuation with the probe following the arrest of the three accused on October 22, the police confiscated six illegal .32-bore pistols allegedly smuggled from Madhya Pradesh," the CP said. "The accused were associated with Bhagwanpuria and Amritpal Bath, and one of the accused, Mankaran, is wanted in the twin murders case at Jalandhar and Gurdaspur," the CP added. htc...
