Constitution Day celebrated at Hansraj with Youth Parliament
Panchkula, Nov. 27 -- Hansraj Public School, Sector 6, hosted the National Youth Parliament Scheme (NYPS) 2.0 on Constitution Day, marking the school's fifth consecutive Youth Parliament session under this prestigious national initiative.
The day commenced with a Special Assembly highlighting the significance of the Indian Constitution and the values it upholds. Students collectively recited the National Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to sovereignty, unity, integrity, and responsible citizenship.
The Youth Parliament session for the academic year 2025-26 followed thereafter. The day's business unfolded systematically, beginning with the Oath of the Newly Elected Member, moving on to Obituary References, and subsequently transitioning into an engaging Question Hour. During Question Hour, members raised a series of timely and relevant national concerns that resonate strongly with current socio-political discourse. These included the Immigration and Foreigners Bill 2025, EPF reforms, disaster response mechanisms in Uttarakhand, security challenges within the wireless internet ecosystem, the Supreme Court's order on stray dogs, and the growing issue of paying alimony with insufficient income. The House debated a constructive proposal to establish the National Employability Coordination Council (NECC).
Principal Jaya Bhardwaj remarked, "Constitution Day serves as a reminder of our duties and commitment to the nation. It is inspiring to witness young learners engage deeply with national issues and uphold democratic values through the Youth Parliament. I commend all participants and teachers for making the fifth consecutive session impactful."...
