Cong slams govt over abstention on Gaza at UNGA
New Delhi, June 15 -- The Congress on Saturday criticised Centre for abstaining from voting on United Nations General Assembly resolution demanding a ceasefire in Gaza, calling it an "act of staggering moral cowardice".
India was among 19 countries that abstained from voting on the resolution demanding an immediate, unconditional ceasefire in Gaza.
Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge said the abstention left India "virtually standing isolated." "It is now increasingly evident that our Foreign Policy is in shambles. Perhaps, PM Modi must now take a call on his EAM's repeated blunders and set some accountability. We virtually stand isolated," Kharge said.
