Cong leader shot at in Moga, police suspect personal enmity
Bathinda, Dec. 24 -- A senior Congress leader and former municipal councillor from Moga, Narinderpal Singh, was shot at by two unidentified assailants at his residence on Tuesday.
According to police sources, the attack occurred while Singh was sitting on the lawn of his home in the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar locality. Two men with their faces covered reportedly entered the premises and opened fire. Singh sustained two bullet wounds, one in his leg and another near his shoulder, and was rushed to a hospital in Moga
Moga DSP Gurpreet Singh said that the victim is currently in stable condition, according to attending doctors. "Initial investigations suggest that personal enmity may be the motive behind the attack," said DSP Singh. "A case is being registered at the City-1 police station following the recording of statements from the victim's family."...
