Mohali, Feb. 13 -- Deputy commissioner Girish Dayalan on Wednesday asked the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to complete construction work of the new Khanpur Bridge by April 30.
"Complete the work within stipulated time as the adjacent bridge will be dismantled," Dayalan said while taking a stock of the upcoming Kharar-Chandigarh flyover project.
The NHAI demanded diversion of traffic at the Khanpur Chowk through Kurali-SiswanT-point to ensure that people had an alternative route to commute.
The DC told NHAI to finish constructing the service lane so that an alternative route can be provided.
