CM Mann releases book on Punjab's history, culture
Sangrur, Nov. 11 -- Chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Sunday released the Punjabi edition of the book 'Sada Punjab', by author Munish Jindal, at the chief minister's camp office in Dhuri.
Mann congratulated the Dhuri-born author, stating that the book provides a comprehensive picture of Punjab's geography, ancient, medieval, and modern history, as well as its culture.
It also provides detailed information about the social and religious reform movements in the state. A few chapters talk about the sacrifices made by Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru for India's independence.
Sharing details about the book, Jindal said the purpose of the book is to create maximum awareness in the society about Punjab and Punjabi identity. He mentioned that the English edition of this book, which has been published for the past 13 years, has received praise and love from lakhs of readers. He expressed full confidence that the Punjabi version will connect every Punjabi with Punjab....
