Mohali, Oct. 11 -- The revenue department has suspended Harpreet Singh, a registry clerk, for allegedly verifying land documents in violation of court orders. The suspension order was issued by the finance commissioner for revenue, with a copy forwarded to the deputy commissioner of Mohali. Confirming the development, deputy commissioner Komal Mittal said the department has received the suspension orders and that a higher-level investigation is currently underway. An internal inquiry has also been initiated against naib tehsildar Ritu Kapoor and her staff in connection with the case. Authorities are also looking into potential misconduct by other officials....
