Ludhiana, May 14 -- In light of the prevailing geopolitical situation, a comprehensive 'Raid Evacuation and Civil Defence Mock Drill' was conducted at Sant Ishar Singh Ji Memorial Public School, Karamsar Rara Sahib for students of Classes 3 to 5. The drill was organised to enhance preparedness and awareness among young students and staff members in emergency scenarios. The event witnessed participation from NCC cadets, under the supervision of ANO Ravi Sharma and Harpreet Kaur Thandi, along with Hawaldar Manjeet Singh and Hawaldar Patmeshar Singh. The school principal, Dhiraj Kumar, personally took part in the drill, ensuring that all safety measures were demonstrated and followed effectively. Students from Classes 3 to 5 engaged in the evacuation process, gaining hands-on experience in safety procedures and first response actions. Simultaneously, a similar mock drill exercise was conducted at Sant Ishar Singh Ji Memorial Hospital, with full support from the Gurdwara Committee and Hospital Committee. Key members present during the drill included Maninderjit Singh Benipal, Malkit Singh Panesar, Gurnam Kaur Grewal, Captain Ranjeet Singh, Harpreet Singh Gill, Subedar Charanjit Singh, Subedar Jasvir Singh, and Manjit Singh Lottey. The entire hospital faculty and security team also took active roles in the operation. All committee members collectively emphasised the hospital's readiness to provide emergency medical support, first aid facilities, and fire safety services to the local population in case of any critical situation.
