Chess tournament held at St Soldier Int'l Convent
Mohali, Oct. 8 -- Over 140 Students Compete in 1st S. Karnail Singh Brar Memorial Chess Championship at St Soldier, Mohali The first S Karnail Singh Brar Memorial Chess Championship Tournament was held at St Soldier International Convent School, on Saturday, October 4.
The championship witnessed an impressive participation of over 140 students from various age groups, representing different schools and districts across Punjab and Haryana. The event was inaugurated by the principal Anjli Sharma, and was organised under the guidance and encouragement of the chairman Karandeep Singh Brar.
The school campus was abuzz with enthusiasm as young chess players demonstrated their strategic skills, while parents, teachers, and coaches eagerly cheered them on throughout the day-long event.
The tournament concluded with the prize distribution Ceremony, where Vineet Verma, Commissioner, Punjab State Traders' Commission, honoured the winners in various categories.
The championship provided a wonderful platform for students to showcase their talent, sportsmanship, and passion for chess, making it a memorable and inspiring experience....
