Banur, July 25 -- Holy Mary's School organised an Inter-House Chess Competition for students of Classes 3 to 5, with separate categories for boys and girls. In the girls' division, Gandhi House secured the first position, thanks to the brilliant performance of Sehajpreet Kaur (Class 3 R), Harsirat Kaur (Class 4 G), and Gurnoor Kaur (Class 5 B). Nehru House took the second place, represented by Japman Kaur (Class III R), Ravneet Kaur (Class 3 R), and Ramneet Kaur (Class 5 R), who also gave a tough competition. On the boys' side, Tagore House claimed the top spot, with strong showings from Waris (Class 3 B), Jasraj Singh (Class 4 R), and Shivansh (Class 4 R). The second position went to Gandhi House, led by Harshit Jain (Class 3 B), Fatehveer Singh (Class 3 G), and Gurfateh Singh (Class 4 B). Principal Shiny Devassy lauded the efforts of all the participants and congratulated the winners for their outstanding display of skill and determination. She also encouraged the top teams as they get ready to represent Holy Mary's School in the Rajpura Sahodaya Interschool Chess Competition.
