India, Sept. 10 -- Chandigarh is hosting a unique photography exhibition that showcases the city entirely through the eyes of its people. AIM Gallery, in collaboration with Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi, presents 'Life Through The Local Lens', which will remain open for public viewing till September 21 at the Sector-17 underpass, connecting to Rose Garden. The exhibition is open daily from 11am to 8pm. This one-of-a-kind showcase is a heartfelt celebration of everyday Chandigarh - its streets, corners, and people captured on mobile phones by its residents. "This exhibition is close to our hearts as it reflects the real soul of Chandigarh. It's about celebrating the city we see, feel, and love every day," says curator Gurpreet Kaur Jauhar. Artist Bheem Malhotra adds, "It is a fresh, community driven idea that gives citizens a voice and a deeper connection to their city." Conceived by Gurpreet Kaur Jauhar and Munish Jauhar, founders of AIM Gallery, the exhibition brings together 117 photographs by 112 participants, each revealing personal perspectives on life in Chandigarh. From fleeting moments to familiar sights often overlooked, the collection reflects the city's vibrant soul. The exhibition welcomes everyone to experience Chandigarh in a new light, not just as a city of architecture marvels and gardens, but as a vibrant place filled with people, stories, and everyday moments that make it truly alive.
