Parwanoo, Sept. 23 -- Anand School, in collaboration with CBSE, organised a one-day workshop on "Gender Sensitivity" to promote awareness about gender equality and inclusivity. Lakhwinder Arora, principal of Gurukul International School, Solan, and recipient of the National School Award by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, was the resource person for the session. The workshop highlighted issues faced by the transgender community, including discrimination, lack of employment, poor healthcare, violence, and social prejudice. Charts and data presented during the session emphasised the urgent need for equal opportunities, legal safeguards.
