Mohali, Dec. 11 -- A minor collision between a tipper truck and a car spiralled into a massive traffic jam on the Chandigarh-Ambala Road near Metro on Wednesday afternoon, police said. Eyewitnesses said the tipper lightly grazed the car, shattering its window glass. Enraged, the car driver allegedly snatched the tipper's key and fled, leaving the heavy vehicle stranded in the middle of the road. With the tipper unable to move and blocking a busy stretch, traffic quickly backed up on both sides, stretching for several kilometres. Commuters remained stuck for hours. Locals and passersby complained that no official reached the spot for a long time to manage the situation. Multiple calls to police officials for a response went unanswered.
