C'garh Constable injured in IED blast by Maoists
Raipur, Nov. 28 -- A woman constable of the Chhattisgarh police was injured on Thursday after a pressure Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by Maoists exploded in Sukma district of Chattisgarh, a police officersaid.
The blast occurred around 1 pm in the forest hills of Sukma district when a joint team of the district reserve guard (DRG) and district force was conducting an area domination operation from the newly established Gogunda security camp under Keralapal police station limits, he said.
Constable Muchaki Durga of the district force accidentally stepped on the pressure-operated explosive device, triggering the blast and resulting in injuries to her left foot, he added.htc...
