BVM USN observes World No Tobacco Day at premises
Ludhiana, June 4 -- BVM, Udham Singh Nagar, observed World No Tobacco Day with a range of awareness activities designed to educate students about the dangers of tobacco use and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
The day featured a special lecture by Sanjeev Thakur, PGT (physical education), who sensitised students about the severe physical, mental and social consequences of tobacco consumption.
He urged students to make informed, health-conscious decisions and inspired them to become active ambassadors of a tobacco-free society.
To foster student engagement, poster-making and slogan-writing competitions were conducted for the students to make them aware of the harmful effects of tobacco use.
Participants from various classes of the school creatively expressed their understanding through impactful visuals and compelling messages, reflecting their commitment to the cause.
Principal Seema Gupta lauded the efforts of the students and staff, emphasising that such initiatives are crucial in cultivating a healthier and more responsible generation.
